HARPSWELL — Behind three hits apiece from Brian Connolly, AJ Wolverton and Gus Silverman, the Bath Cal Ripken Majors baseball 99 Restaurant Diamondbacks earned a 12-3 victory on the road recently against Harpswell.
Jack Poulin, Diego Aguila, Mason Richardson, Tanner Rapoza and Kevin Connolly each singled, while Richardson and Aiden Densmore combined for a nice double play turn on defense.
Silverman, Aguilar, Kevin Connolly, Luke Vazdauskas and Richardson combined on the hill to record 10 strikeouts.
In another game against the Richmond side, the DBacks jumped out to an early lead and rolled to a 9-0 victory.
Kevin Connolly led the way with a homer, double and single, while Wolverton homered and tripled. Richardson added a double, with Rapoza and Brian Connolly each singling. Rapoza controlled the game from the mound with 12 strikeouts over four innings, and Brian Connolly closed out the last two innings.
The DBacks remained hot in a third game, ousting Bath 10-0 behind three singles from Silverman. Brian Connolly, Rapoza and Richardson each tallied two hits, while Wolverton shut down Bath on the mound, fanning seven batters over 3 2/3 innings. Aguilar and Silverman pitched the remainder of the game.
Connolly, Rapoza, and Matt Orlando flashed the leather with big outfield catches in the last inning.
