BRUNSWICK — Shea Sullivan scored the only goal of the game for the Brunswick Junior High “A” field hockey team as they defeated Auburn on Monday, 1-0.
Brunswick had 10 shots in the contest compared to Auburn’s 7. Goaltenders Ainsley Harrower and Grace Casey combined for seven saves in net for Brunswick with Madi Bailey, Arianna Edwards, Emma Nickerson and Kristen
Hummer being noted for strong play on defense.
The Huskies offensive line consisting of Sullivan, Logan Gillis, Eliza Rudalevige, Sophie Katz, Liberty Krauss and Makayla Carver battled through the Auburn defense for most of the game with help from the links Erin Coughlin, Maggie Folsom, Maddie Wayne and Mallory Palmer.
Auburn had a chance to tie the game on a penalty corner, but the Huskies were saved by the bell as time ran out giving the Huskies the victory.
