BATH — A C.N. Brown oil truck struck a utility pole on the corner of Western and High Streets early Friday, knocking out power to a handful of city residents, Bath Fire Chief Steve Hinds said.

Hinds said no one was injured in the crash, which was reported at around 9:30 a.m. Fire and police blocked off High Street in the area of the damaged pole and downed lines.

According to the Central Maine Power website, 589 Bath customers were without power as a result of the crash.
