TOPSHAM — The Mt. Ararat Middle School seventh-grade baseball team won its 10th straight game with a 12-9 victory over Tripp Middle School on Thursday.
Cam Cox was the winning pitcher and Elliott Bowie pitched well in relief. Leading the Eagles’ offensive attack were Cox, Cole Guerin, Bowie and Jacob Steinman. Standout defensive games were turned in by Guerin and Ethan Boyco.
In other action, Mt. Ararat completed an undefeated 11-0 season with an exciting 9-7 comeback win at Lewiston on Friday.
Kevin Giroux was the hero, pitching two innings of scoreless relief.
The offense was led by Guerin, Cox, Jacob O’Neil, Steinman, Jason Magno, Giroux and Haven Cutco. Guerin turned in another standout defensive game, while Kyle Brown and Kyle Brady were solid in the field for the Eagles.
