GORHAM — The Hyde School indoor track team competed in Western Maine Conference action over the weekend, with the boys picking up 30 points and the girls 17.
Hyde’s4x800-meterrelay team (Cody Mitchell, Griffin Palola-Harriman, Isaac Preston and Isaac Pfosi) started things off by winning the event (9:58.23).
Dexie Cercos was also fourth in the 200 (28.99, personal best), fourth in the 55 hurdles (10.04, qualifying to the state track championship) and was eighth in the triple jump (29-05.75, her first-ever attempt at this event).
Xi Wang was sixth in the girls two mile (13:50.30, personal best by 40 seconds). She also placed 16th out of 21 runners in the 800 (3:01.46).
Mady Preece placed second in the 400 (1:07.89, personal best).
Mitchell was third in the boys two-mile with a time of 11:33.42, and Preston fourth in the two mile (11:51.88).
Alexi Philipipoussis was sixth place in the two-mile (11:53.56), fourth place in the Junior shot put (28-09.25) and fourth in the Junior 400 (1:02.45, a personal best).
Also, Kellin Sweeney placed fifth in the triple jump (30-08.75, a personal best).
