GORHAM — The Freeport High School indoor track teams competed in Western Maine Conference action on Friday.
The girls placed seventh (38.50) behind York (136), Cape Elizabeth ( 130), Fryeburg Academy (99), Lake Region ( 79), Gray- New Gloucester (76.5) and Yarmouth (71).
Highlights included Emily Morang in the Junior 55- meter dash ( fifth, 8.60) 200 (third, 30.32), Lexi Dietrich in the 55 (sixth, 8.69) and Junior shot put ( sixth, 22- 01.25), Olivia Bubar in the Junior 400 (fifth, 1:13.8), Abby Roney in the Senior 200 (sixth, 29.74) and open long jump (third, 13- 09.50), Ciera Wentworth in the Open 800 ( second, 2: 35.77), Kayla Thurlow in the senior shot put (23-03.50), and Alyssa Richardson in the Open 800 (third, 2:40.98) and Junior 200 (fourth, 31.06).
The Freeport boys were fifth (38) behind York (292), Cape Elizabeth ( 95), Yarmouth (92) and Gray-New Gloucester (78).
Highlights included Taylor Saucier winning the Open two mile in 10: 36.26, Zach Strozewski in the Junior high jump ( fourth, 4- 10), Zach Greene in the Senior 200 (third, 24.69), Thomas Dodge in the Senior high jump (fifth, 5-06) and Harry Stivers in the Open 800 (second, 2:07.21),
Freeport’sSenior4x200 relay was third in 1:41.91.
