NEWRY — Tuesday’s Maine Amateur Golf Championship will have a local feel, as several area golfers qualified through weekly Maine State Golf Association Tournaments or at three, 18-hole qualifiers.
From the local area, Mike Doran of Topsham hits the links on Tuesday at 7:10 a.m. and on Wednesday at 10:50 a.m. Also from Topsham are Brigham Michaud, with 10:40 a.m. and 7 a.m. tee-times in the first two rounds and Christopher Billings (1:20 p.m. and 9:40 a.m.).
Bath’s JJ Harris tees off at 7:30 a.m. in the opening round on Tuesday and 11 a.m. Wednesday in round 2. Brunswick natives Jordan Kelly (noon Tuesday; 8:20 a.m. Wednesday), Joe Messerman (12:40 p.m.; 9 a.m.), Scott Barnicle (11:50 a.m. and 8:10 a.m.) and Bradford Smith (2:10 p.m.; 10:30 a.m.), South Freeport’s Jack Wyman (8:20 a.m.; noon), Wiscasset’s Jordan Jones (8:20 a.m.; noon) and Harpswell’s Henry Fall (10:30 a.m.; 2:10 p.m.) are slated to compete.
