PORTLAND — The 31st annual Peaks to Portland swim will take place on July 21.
There are 350 entrants, with 189 first-timers slated to compete in the event, the largest number of competitors in several years, according to Peaks to Portland organizers.
The event is a major fundraiser for the Cumberland County YMCA, with the money raised going towards the Y’s financial assistance program.
The Peaks to Portland begins at 8:30 a.m. at Peaks Island. The swim covers 2.5 miles from Peaks Island to Portland.
