BRUNSWICK — As part of a monthly support group for caregivers, Mid Coast Senior Health Center will host a program on “Legal and Financial Planning,” Thursday, March 19, from 4-5 p.m. at 58 Baribeau Drive.

The program will be led by Bill J. Kirkpatrick, program director for the Maine chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.

Immediately following the half-hour presentation there will be a group discussion, allowing participants to further explore the presentation themes and their experiences as caregivers. Team members from The Garden, a Senior Health Center residence that offers extensive services and amenities for those with memory loss, will lead the conversation.

Caring for someone with dementia is a significant responsibility with unique challenges and rewards. The Caregiver Resource and Support Group is offered by Mid Coast Senior Health Center to help participants understand the challenges of caring for someone with memory loss, while fostering supportive and beneficial group conversation.
