BRUNSWICK — Mid Coast Hospital Auxiliary is once again seeking donations for its annual Spring Used Book Sale on April 2 and 3 at the Mid Coast Café Conference Rooms, 123 Medical Center Drive.
Books in just about all categories will be available at the book sale, sorted by volunteers during the month of March. Donations of used books may be taken to the collection point — the old Borders store at Merrymeeting Plaza — each Saturday in March, from 9 a.m.-noon. All donations are tax deductible.
Not accepted are magazines, encyclopedias, textbooks and Readers’ Digest condensed books.
The book sale will be held Thursday, April 2, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. and Friday, April 3, from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. All proceeds benefit health career scholarships for southern Mid-coast students. Applications for scholarships are due April 15, and may be found at www.midcoasthealth.com/vo lunteer as well as other information. The Auxiliary donates $40,000 a year to students, helping to support a future healthcare work force.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
