BATH — The Bath Middle School softball team scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning on a passed ball to edge Auburn 7-6 on Tuesday.
Dory Kulis led the Destroyers with a double and was responsible for crossing the plate to win the game for Bath.
Brook Kulis, Julia Goddard and Abbie Reed each singled in the contest. Jade Perry led the Auburn offense with a pair of singles, while Abby Russell and Chantel Hammond collected hits.
Dory Kulis struck out 10 and walked five in her pitching performance for the Destroyers. Paige Faulkingham was noted for her strong play behind the dish, while Reed and Goddard were standouts on defense in the field.
Auburn’s pitching combined for nine strikeouts and 11 walks.
