Maine comedian Johnny Ater will headline a show at the Chocolate Church Saturday night.
Ater is anchoring “Ater & Friends Comedy Night,” which will also feature comedians Nellie Coes, Kevin Neales and Tuck Tucker. Doors open at 7 p.m. for the 7:30 p.m. show.
Ater has been making audiences laugh since 2003, taking light-hearted swipes at himself — and his fellow Mainers — and how NOT cool he is. Coes hails from Yarmouth, Neales is from Portland and Tucker is another fellow New Englander.

Seating is limited for this adult content show. Tickets are available by calling the box office at (207) 442-8455 or at chocolatechurcharts.org.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
