BATH — The Bath Middle School girls seventh grade basketball team recently split a pair of games to run its record to 3-3.
Trailing 23-6 after one quarter to Yarmouth, the Destroyers battled back but fell short, 38-32.
Layne Brewer paced the Destroyers with 15 points while Danielle Bryant added 10 points in the loss. Kadance Burden and Kelsi Koehling added five and two points, respectively.
Sophie Barber was given the Destroyer Award for her outstanding defense.
The squad also recently hosted Freeport and cruised to a 32-17 win. Bryant paced the home team with 15 points. Brewer added nine while Burden tallied six, including a pair of 3-point baskets. Cameron Jones also added two points in the win.
The Destroyer Award was given to Sophie Booth for her strong all-around game.
