KENNEBUNK — The Mt. Ararat High School boys jayvee basketball team fell behind 17-7 after one quarter and never recovered, losing to Kennebunk, 56-38 on Friday.
Ian Brady led all scorers with 20 points for the visitors. Jace Hollenbach and Roderick Minor chipped in with eight and six points, respectively in the loss.
On Saturday, Will Kavanaugh sank four 3- pointers, netting a game-high 14 points to lead the Eagles to a 48-42 win over Brunswick.
Mt. Ararat (1-2) led 25-13 at the half before Brunswick chipped away in the second half. However, the Eagles were able to hang on.
James Singleton added 11 points in the win.
