TAUNTON, Mass. — S.W. Cole Engineering, Inc., headquartered in Bangor, has acquired Tibbetts Engineering Corp. of Taunton, Massachusetts.
Tibbetts Engineering was founded in 1952 and provides construction materials testing, construction administration, construction inspection, and geotechnical engineering services to clients in southern New England. TEC operates two offices, in New Bedford and Taunton, which will be consolidated into the Taunton location.
S.W. Cole Engineering was founded in 1979 by Steve and Wendy Cole. The 38-year-old firm has offices in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont, and provides geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, special inspections and geo-environmental services.
According to Robert Chaput, S.W. Cole Engineering CEO and president, Tibbetts Engineering will operate as a division of S.W. Cole Engineering.
