The Brunswick Downtown Association’s 13th Annual Benefit Auction will take place on Oct. 19 from 5-7:30 p.m. at The Daniel in Brunswick for the second year.
“Magic on Maine” auction is the largest fundraiser of the year for the BDA, whose mission is “to promote Downtown Brunswick as a vibrant and attractive place to live, work, play and do business,” according to their website.
All funds raised at the auction will support Brunswick Downtown Association’s Community Events and programs including the Music on the Mall Summer Concert Series, BDA’s Community BBQ, Brunswick Outdoor Arts Festival, Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony with Santa, the Early Bird Sale and Rolling Slumber Bed Races and Downtown Brunswick’s Holiday Lighting.
The Silent Auction will open at 5 p.m. The Live Auction will begin at 6:30 p.m. Auction items will include Seasons Tickets to Maine State Music Theatre, a day sail on Casco Bay, Signature gold earrings from Keith Field Jewelers, an overnight stay and dinner in Boothbay Harbor, framed artwork from Bayview Gallery and other items donated by area businesses and organizations.
The Daniel has donated the event space and hors d’oeuvres for the auction. Union Street Bakery and Cake Shop and Wild Oats Bakery will donate a dessert buffet. A cash bar will be available.
Tickets for the BDA Auction are $20 per person, or $30 per couple. They are available online at brunswickdowntown.org/bda-benefit-auction, at the Brunswick Visitor Center on Station Avenue and at Cool As A Moose at 128 Maine St., Brunswick.
