BIDDEFORD — Endicott College built an 8-0 halftime lead before withstanding a second-half surge by the University of New England for an 18-11 Commonwealth Coast Conference women’s lacrosse win Wednesday evening at the Big Blue Turf.

Now 2-0 in conference play, Endicott upped its overall mark to 5-3. The Nor’easters slid under the .500 mark to 4-5 (1-1 CCC).

Korinne Bohunsky paced the UNE attack with three goals. Kimberly Gosselin, Jocelyn Davee of Freeport and Nichole Carvalho tallied two goals apiece.

UNE is back in action Saturday, heading to Western New England University for a conference match beginning at 1 p.m.
