TOPSHAM — The Ararat Babe Ruth baseball league season is around the corner.
To participate in the league, players must be born prior to May 1, 2004 and on or after May 1, 2001.
Tryouts for new players will be on April 23 at the Mt. Ararat High School Baseball Field at 5 p.m. If it rains, tryouts will be in the Mt. Ararat High School Gym. Players are asked to use the entrance in the back of the high school.
Registration forms are available at Mt. Ararat Middle School’s main office and at Mt. Ararat High School, next to the Athletic Director’s office. They can also be picked up at the Topsham Recreation Department and can be found on the Ararat Babe Ruth Facebook page.
All returning players must register by April 23.
The league is also looking for coaches.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
