FORT MEYERS, Fla. — Junior Jarek Krajewski and sophomore Mike Bailey combined for seven hits and six runs batted in Saturday and Plymouth State University held on to defeat Skidmore College, 9-8 in a college baseball game at the Gene Cusic Classic.
Junior Connor MacRae started for PSU and went 5 1/3 innings, allowing two runs on five hits, striking out six. Sophomore Dallas DeFrancesco allowed just one earned run in 3 1/3 innings of relief, and sophomore Brady Larson of Brunswick got the final out for his first save.
The Panthers are back on the diamond Sunday for a doubleheader against Amherst College, beginning at 9 a.m.
