AMHERST, Mass. — The Bates College women’s track and field team placed fourth out of 11 teams at the New England Small College Athletic Conference championships for the second straight year on Saturday, breaking four team records in the process.

Bates scored 106 points, 26 more than it did a year ago in also placing fourth. Williams won its third straight conference title with 157, followed by Middlebury (134), Tufts (119), Bates (104), Colby (88), Bowdoin (46), Wesleyan (39), Connecticut College (35), Trinity (33), Amherst (19) and Hamilton (4).

Junior Allison Hill of Brunswick won the conference title in the 400-meter hurdles and placed second in the 100 hurdles. She lowered her team record in the 100 to 14.50 seconds.

Senior Alexis Dickinson of Brunswick helped Bates to a third-place finish in the 4 x 100 relay.

Bates next competes this upcoming weekend at the New England Division III Outdoor Championships at Springfield College.
