BRUNSWICK

New Beet Market, a café, eatery and retail marketplace serving locally sourced, made-from-scratch food at reasonable prices at Brunswick Landing, has scheduled its grand opening ceremony for Monday, March 21.

Founded as an L3C (low-profit limited liability corporation), the majority of New Beet’s profits go to their partner 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations of Seeds of Independence and Harpswell Coastal Academy.

In addition to providing food and drink to the general public, New Beet also provides experiential learning and employment opportunities for youth involved with our partner nonprofits. They are the only establishment serving food and drink to the general public on the growing community of Brunswick Landing.

Opening hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., with extended evening hours expected in the summertime to accommodate happy hour and special dinners.

New Beet sources from local farmers, including the gardens and farmland operated by their partner nonprofits, and uses fresh ingredients used to prepare food from scratch — including their signature New Beet Chips (shaved beets deep-fried and coated in a house blend of spices).

The grand opening schedule for Monday:

• 7:30 a.m., doors open, free coffee and tastings

• 9 a.m., ribbon cutting

• Lunchtime, meet our farmers and partner nonprofits
