PURCHASE, N.Y. — The Maine Maritime Academy women’s basketball team fell to Manhattanville College, 59-53, on Tuesday.
Former Mt. Ararat High School standout Kristi Willey had eight points, four rebounds and an assist in the loss.
The Mariners led 7-0 early, but Manhattanville battled back. MMA put together a 15-2 run for an 11-point lead, but once against the Valiants struck back, closing to 27-26 by halftime.
Maine Maritime fell to 5-5 and will return to North Atlantic Conference play on Saturday when it hosts Husson University at 1 p.m.
