BRUNSWICK
Brunswick police were called to a School Street apartment early Friday morning after two men allegedly entered a unit and assaulted two other men with a baseball bat.
The alleged aggravated assault was reported just after 3 a.m. at 16 School St.
Brunswick Police Lt. Lynne Doucette said Brunswick Fire and Rescue transported two men to Mid Coast Hospital, one with complaints of pain and the other who police say was obviously beaten badly.
The men reported that two male subjects entered the residence and assaulted them with a baseball bat, “but claim they don’t know who it is or why they would do it,” Doucette said.
The area was searched for the suspects with the limited description the men were able to provide police. However it is an open case and police had no leads or suspects as of early Friday morning.
