BOWDOINHAM — The Baseball Performance Academy Eagles 15U baseball team hosted the New England Storm from Massachusetts in a doubleheader on Saturday at Cox Field.
A pitcher’s duel in the opener held true for five innings until the Eagles broke away for a 9-3 win.
The Eagles continued their hitting in the second game, rolling to a 10-0 win for a sweep.
In the opener, Kaileb Hawkes launched a home run, Liam Huston tripled, and Kyle Brennan, Nick Merrill and Sam Alexander each doubled in the win. Hawkes and Merrill each drove in two runs.
On the mound, Garrett Moody picked up the win, striking out three and allowing eight hits.
Ed Beauregard singled and doubled for the Storm.
Brennan had two hits in the second game win, including a double, while Ryan Mello, Merrill and Alexander added a double each.
Ryan Glass was dominant on the mound, striking out seven and working around nine hits for the Storm.
Nick Bove and Beauregard each picked up two hits for the Storm in the loss.
