AUBURN — St. Dominic’s Academy recovered from a fourth-quarter deficit to force overtime against Morse, and the Saints scored the winner in the extra session for an 8-7 Eastern B victory on Monday.

“A disappointing loss for us,” said Morse coach Jay Paulus after his Shipbuilders fell to 4-2 and takes on 6-1 Maranacook/ Winthrop today at Kents Hill at 4 p.m. “We were flat all game, with little offensive threat and a very weak defensive performance.”

After trailing 1-0 after a quarter, Morse outscored St. Dom’s (4-2), 3-0 for a 3-1 halftime lead. The Shipbuilders held a 4-2 edge after three, but were outscored 5-3 in the fourth.

Perry Chase led Morse with four goals, one assist and five ground balls. Alec Beveridge added a pair of goals and one helper, while goaltender Ryan Muncey turned aside eight shots. Defenseman James Laser led Morse with seven ground balls.
