“THANK YOU!,” said Brunswick Area Teen Center teen members (pictured here at Gelato Fiasco along with celebrity scoopers from BJHS), for the community support at last week’s Gelato Fiasco Scoop-a-thon fundraiser. Celebrating its 10th anniversary in June, the Teen Center, a program of People Plus, averaged nearly 1,800 visits last year, served more than 2,000 snacks and nearly 1,500 “meals” during the free afterschool and summer drop-in programs. Serving youth in grades 6-12, the program is open to all teens but primarily serves the at risk youth in the community. For more information, call (207) 721-0754 or visit peopleplusmaine.org.
