SOUTH PARIS — The Mt. Ararat Middle School seventh-grade baseball team defeated Oxford Hills, 5-3, on Monday.
Josh Dionne hit a long double to drive in the go-ahead run for the Eagles in the sixth inning. Jared Withers, James Singleton, Ben Laurence and Ian Brady had big hits for Mt. Ararat.
On the mound, Marcus Steinman pitched three strong innings, while Brady relieved and shut down the Vikings the rest of the way.
