BATH — The Bath Iron Works team of the Cal Ripken Baseball minors division cruised to an 8-2 victory over Lisbon Crosman Funeral in recent action.
Wyatt Wallace took to the hill for BIW, tossing three innings and fanning seven batters in the process. Thomas Guild stepped in as the closer, working two innings and striking out five.
Wallace and Guild collected three hits apiece at the dish, while Colby Dolan and Lucas Quimby each notched a base hit.
Owen Smith pitched for Lisbon, going two innings and striking out six. Jayden Maynard came on in relief, fanning three batters in his three innings of work. Matthew Wilson, Drake Briere and Seth Allen all collected hits in the contest.
Both teams were noted for playing with total team effort.
