PORTLAND — Maine All- Care, a nonprofit education and advocacy organization committed to bring universal access to comprehensive health care to all Maine residents, recently welcomed Henk Goorhuis, M.D., as the newest member of its board of directors.
Goorhuis has practiced emergency medicine for 25 years. He moved to Maine 23 years ago and has worked at several urban and rural hospitals in the state.
He is a residency trained emergency physician. He was an emergency department director in New York for two years and on the hospital board for five years at a hospital in Brunswick.
He lives in Auburn with his wife and they have two sons, both in college.
