MECHANICS SAVINGS BANK recently donated $2,000 to Sweetser, as part of a matched challenge grant. Local businesses and foundations raised $2,000, which the bank then matched for a total contribution of $4,000. The funds are designated for emergency client needs in the Brunswick/Bath and Lewiston/Auburn communities. “We are grateful to Mechanics Savings Bank for this generous opportunity and for supporting these challenge grants,” said Todd Henry, Sweetser’s director of Development. Sweetser, a nonprofit mental health organization, serves more than 20,000 children, families and adults throughout Maine each year. Mechanics Savings Bank is a mutual savings bank with branches in Auburn, Brunswick, Lewiston and Windham.
