RICHMOND — Amber Loon and Kelsea Anair combined on five goals as the Richmond High School girls soccer team rolled to an 8-1 East-West Conference win over Rangeley on Tuesday.

The 12-0 Bobcats, who host Valley on Thursday (4 p.m.), led 3-0 in the first half as Meranda Martin, Anair (assisted by Loon), and Loon (Anair) scored.

Richmond poured it on in the second frame, with Anair tallying two straight goals from Loon for a 5-1 lead. Loon picked up an unassisted goal, then set up Anair, who had four goals and one assist. Loon finished with two goals and four helpers.

Camryn Hurley picked up an assist for Richmond, with Martin finishing with one goal and one assist.

Mary Swiney scored for Rangeley.

Richmond goaltender Kelsie Obi turned aside two shots.

WISCASSET 2

The host Wolverines received a goal each from Russell Marr and Nate Woodman for a Mountain Valley Conference win.

Wiscasset (2-10) jumped on top 1-0 in the first half on Marr’s unassisted goal.

“Russell was great in the middle and really set up some things up front,” said Wiscasset coach Chris Cossette, whose Wolverines are slated to host Hall-Dale Thursday at 6:30 p.m.

In the second half, Woodman finished off a pass from Matt Martin for a 2-0 lead.

Tyler Nussinow scored a late goal for the Ramblers.

Conlon Ranta had eight saves in the win, while Winthrop’s Matt Sekerak turned aside 17 shots.

FREEPORT BOYS 0
FALMOUTH 4

The unbeaten Yachtsmen rolled to a Western Maine Conference win over Freeport, which fell to 3-8-1 and hosts Poland on Saturday at 12:45 p.m.

Matt Polewaczyk, Ben Lydick, Ben Wuesthoff and Nigel Dunn each had a goal for 9-0-2 Falmouth, with Luke Velas dishing out two assists.

Brendan Qualls had 12 saves in the Freeport net.

FREEPORT GIRLS 0

The host Falcons fell to 3-7-2 with a WMC loss to 6-4-2 Falmouth.

Cali Wiberg had two goals to lead the Yachtsmen, while Adelaide Cooke made one save for the shutout.

Freeport, which hosts Poland on Saturday at 11 a.m., received nine saves by goaltender Izzy Qualls.
