COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Tyler Seguin scored three goals, including the tiebreaker with 7:44 left in the third, lifting the Stars a victory over the Blue Jackets for their first win of the season.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Matt Irwin and John Scott were unlikely goal-scorers, and the previously stingy San Jose Sharks finally sprung a leak or two before coming away with a shootout victory over the Capitals.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — William Karlsson scored and Jakob Silfverberg each scored in the shootout to lift the Ducks to a win over the Flyers.

Sabres 4, Hurricanes 3

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — Marcus Foligno had two goals, Zemgus Girgensons scored on a backhand to end a long shootout, and the Sabres beat the Hurricanes for their first victory of the season.
