TOPSHAM — The Mt. Ararat Middle School boys soccer team defeated Tripp Middle School 4-0 for its first of three straight victories in recent action.

Eli Theberge score two goals to lead the offense with Eli Ouellette and Randy Beede each collecting a goal. Eagles goaltender James Singleton turned away five shots while Marcus Steinman played well at the midfield position with Connor Smith playing strong on defense.

Later in the week the Eagles took on Oxford Hills and put up a six spot for a 6-1 victory. Trevor Brown led the scoring for Mt. Ararat while Theberge, Ouellette, Jeff Remis and Jack Olyphant each had a goal. Singleton blocked four shots in net while Nick D’Andrea and Mason Brigham played well at midfield and on defense respectively.

In the final game on Tuesday, the Eagles traveled to Bath and put on an offensive show, scoring 11 goals in their 11-1 victory over Bath Middle School.

Theberge collected a hat-trick in the game with Ben Laurence and Roan Logan scoring two goals each. Steinman, Brown, Remis and Beede also scored in the contest. Both Singleton and Beede shared time in net, allowing only one goal and stopping two. Carson Estela was noted for hard play at midfield, while Tristan Zell held strong on defense.
