BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick Junior High School boys soccer teams took on Oxford Hills on Monday.
The Huskie seventh graders scored a 6-2 win. Josh Musica notched a hat trick and an assist, with Everett Horch adding one goal and a helper.
Goaltender Coenradt Taylor made several first half saves, then scored a secondhalf goal off an assist from Michael McCrum. Michael Kinee added a goal, while Josh Cahptill played well.
Oxford Hills left with a split, winning the eighthgrade contest, 3-1, the Vikings’ first win against Brunswick in 10 seasons.
“This is by far the best Oxford Hills side we have seen in a decade, balanced, talented, and willing to win,” said Brunswick coach Jim Wade.
Noah Greene scored the lone goal for the Huskies. Aiden Glover and Matthew Yost were named the “Men of the Match” for Brunswick. Defenders Garrett Woodruff and McCrum played well.
Brunswick faces rival Mt. Ararat today.
