GARDINER — The Brunswick High School girls volleyball team, which combines players from Mt. Ararat, met Gardiner in a pair of contests on Wednesday.
In the varsity game, Gardiner (2-2) won the match, 3- 1 (25-20, 25-21, 21-25, 25-8).
Brunswick’s Ashley Howe and Mt. Ararat’s Carmen Caterina both tallied eight aces.
The Tigers also won the jayvee contest, taking the match, 3-0 (25-15, 25-17, 25- 15).
All 26 players participated in the jayvee contest.
Brunswick/Mt. Ararat is scheduled to play four games in October, including the team’s first home contest against Gardiner on Oct. 1. The jayvee game begins at 4:30 p.m., with the varsity hitting the court at 6 p.m.
