
She was born in Brunswick, April 28, 1944, the daughter of Maurice and Thelma Brockett Morgan and attended the local schools.
She was the wife of the late Charles King for many years. She has been a resident of Bath and Wiscasset for many years.
She was predeceased by a son, Charles King Jr., and a sister, Shirley Billington.
She is survived by her companion, David Dutton of Wiscasset; two sons, James King and wife Lisa of Dresden, and Gregory King of Bath; a daughter, Theresa Peoples of Bath; three brothers, Maurice Morgan Jr. and his wife Ronnie of Harpswell, Kenneth Morgan and wife Dot of Chesterville, and Phillip Morgan of Brunswick; two sisters, Betty Cote and husband Ivan of Bath, and Jeannie Pennell and husband Myron of Harpswell; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and two special cousins, Madeline Toothaker Morrison and husband Thomas and Sue Toothaker, all of Brunswick.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal St., Brunswick. Interment will be in Cranberry Horn Cemetery. A tribute of her life may be viewed and condolences to the family expressed at www.brackettfuneralhome.c om.
