WEST BATH — Oscar Chalupsky, a 12-time world champion surf ski kayak racer from South Africa, will hold a one-day clinic on July 14 at Thomas Point Beach in Brunswick.
Sponsored by Seaspray Kayaking, the clinic is designed to promote and teach paddlers about the skill and sport of surf ski racing.
Eric McNett of Epic Kayaks will have surf skis and racing paddles on site for participants to use during the clinic.
The clinic will begin at 1 p.m. and last approximately four hours.
The cost of the clinic is $125, and space is limited to the first 20 registrants. Paddlers of all ages and skill level are invited to Thomas Point Beach to watch and ask questions.

Also, the 21st annual Sheepscot River Race is slated to held on July 5 at 3 p.m.
The race begins at the waterfront in Wiscasset.
Prizes will be awarded in several divisions.
