The Maine Winery Guild will be sponsoring Open Winery Day to celebrate Maine wineries. On Saturday June 7, 2014, from 11a.m. to 4 p.m. participating Maine wineries will have special offers in their tasting rooms including complimentary tastings, tours and special events. A list of wineries can be found at www.mainewinetrail.com.
Previously held in September, Guild members decided to change the day to early June as a way of kicking off the winery season as well as to encourage the local community to get out and visit wineries before the tourist season goes into full swing.
