While Naegely will be greatly missed by his patients and friends in the Brunswick area, he is looking forward to spending more time with his wife and family at their home.
Dr. Anna Strange has purchased the practice and will be joining Naegely in the office this month. She has been employed previously at Central Maine Audiology of Lewiston and has been with Mid Coast Hospital of Brunswick since 2012. Strange was born and raised in Aroostook County, received her bachelor of arts degree at the University of Maine in Orono, and her doctoral degree in audiology from Bloomsburg University in
Bloomsburg, Pa.
During this transitional period, every effort will be made to continue providing the exceptional customer service that patients of Berrie’s Optical and Hearing Aid Center have come to appreciate. There will be changes to the optical branch of the business, so people are encouraged to call in advance to ensure that services will be available that given day.
The office will remain under the same name and location at 86 Maine St. in Brunswick.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
