BATH — Recently, there has been a growing interest in genealogical research, particularly that which can be done online or in the local library. At Patten Free Library, the Sagadahoc History and Genealogy Room offers an unusual combination of abundant resources for local family histories, as well as access to Ancestry.com, Library Edition. To help patrons to get the most out of these resources, the History Room is offering a no-charge interactive workshop consisting of two parts, one designed to explain the resources in the Room, and a second part designed to help researchers learn the potential and limitations of one of the most accessible genealogical resources, the Federal Census, published every 10 years, from 1790-1940.
