BATH — At 1:24 a.m. on Monday, Joshua Robinson Sr., 27, of Phippburg, was arrested for burglarizing Beale Street Barbeque, on Water Street.
Officer Michael Lever approached Robinson, who had been hiding behind a box truck in the parking lot behind Smith Cleaners, and discovered him with several suspicious items, including bottles of liquor, a power tool, a butcher knife, and some waxed paper.
Other officers looked for evidence of a break-in in the area, and discovered that Beale Street Barbeque had a window open and a screen removed. The items were determined to have come from Beale Street.
Robinson was charged with burglary, class C, and theft, class E, and was released on $1,000 cash bail. His first court date is scheduled for Nov. 11.
