More than 2,500 customers were out of power for about an hour Thursday while crews repaired lines pulled down by a falling tree.
Gail Rice, spokeswoman for Central Maine Power Co., said a tree fell at River and Ridge roads at around 11:30 a.m., idling 248 accounts. Bowdoinham Fire Department removed the tree, which was blocking the road, said Bowdoinham Fire Chief Arthur Frizzle.
CMP cut power to the circuit to repair the damaged line. Power to 2,528 customers in Bowdoin, Bowdoinham, Richmond and Topsham was restored by around 12:45 p.m.
