BRUNSWICK — GM Wild defeated Dick’s Sporting Goods 6-3 in the championship game Sunday of Brunswick Cal Ripken Majors League Tournament.
Tony Cilea pitched 5.1 innings for GM Wild, facing 21 batters and giving up only two hits with six strikeouts and two walks.
Kyle Hanson earned the save pitching two-thirds of inning for Wild, facing three batters and giving up one hit and no walks.
Owen Richardson pitched 2.2 innings for Dick’s, facing 22 batters, while giving up six hits with six strikeouts and four walks.
Hunter Backus pitched onethird of an inning for Dick’s with a strike out and a walk. Jack Harvey also pitched one inning with three strikeouts and no walks.
In the GM Wild offense, Brady Mitchell went 2-for-3 and Tony Cilea, Noah Cox, Colby Day and Sam Dorval each had a hit.
For Dick’s Sporting Goods, Harvey had two hits, Sam Sharpe a double, and Connor Ney, Owen Richardson and James Belanger each a hit.
