Officers went to an apartment shared by Damion Fincher, his 21- year- o l d girlfriend and her half-sister, at 10:05 p.m. The halfsister told police Fincher was beating his girlfriend, Bath police Lt. Robert Savary told the Bangor Daily News on Monday.
Officers noted marks on the woman’s body, which she said were the result of being pushed then dragged across a rug, according to Savary.
Fincher was charged with aggravated assault and domestic violence assault that was elevated to a felony because of prior convictions, Savary said.
Fincher was taken to Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset and held without bail. He was scheduled for arraignment Monday afternoon, according to an official at the jail.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
