WOOLWICH — The public is invited to join family, friends and neighbors at the Woolwich Central School annual spaghetti supper.
Proceeds support the school’s annual eighth-grade, five-day class trip to Washington, D.C., in June.
The event is 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 4, at the school, 137 Nequasset Road.
The evening is hosted by the seventh-grade class and signals the beginning of their fundraising efforts for the 2014 trip.
The entire cost of the trip, which exceeds $20,000, is raised through private donations. Typically, students raise funds for more than a year.
Admission is $6 for adults, $4 for seniors, $3 for children younger than 12 and free for children younger than 3. A family ticket is available for $20. Tickets are available in advance from any seventhgrader, or at the door. For more information, call 443- 9739 or email blane@rsu1.org.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
