THE LISBON RECREATION DEPARTMENT recently purchased a handicap-accessible mini bus after a yearlong fundraising drive. A combination of private donations, Moxie Car Show proceeds and Friday meals made it possible. “We are proud to say that no tax dollars were used to purchase the bus. In addition, all future funds raised from the Moxie Car Show will pay for gas, maintenance and other costs associated with transportation.” said Mark Stevens, Lisbon’s recreation director. “Before this we had to rent a van for each trip and were limited to how many trips we could take. This will enable us to do so much more for our senior population.” For more information, call 353-2289.
