MAINE CHEFS and food and beverage producers shared samples and tastes of their wares at the sixth annual Flavors of Freeport event Friday, Feb. 15, at the Hilton Garden Inn. Azure Café Owner Jonas Werner, left, and chef Chris Bassett received top honors in the “Favorite Flavor” category. The food-lovers event, presented by FreeportUSA, welcomed 400 attendees to a sold-out experience that offered food, an ice bar, ice throne, martini luge and deejay. An art auction raised more than $1,500 to benefit the Freeport Food Pantry. Azure’s “Favorite Flavor” win was its third in a row in that category.
