A late-night crash on Route 9 left a car on its roof.

The car was traveling westbound about 10 p.m. Tuesday when it veered off the road, also known as Newell Brook Road, vaulted off a snowbank, went airborne and landed in Gordon and Miriam Robbins’s front yard.

Authorities at the scene did not disclose whether the driver was hurt or what likely caused the crash, which cracked a utility pole.

Crews had to place a strut beneath the vehicle to stabilize it while they extricated the driver, whose name and condition were not available.

The driver was given a sobriety testing, and authorities continue to investigate the incident.
