BOWDOINHAM — The driver of a car that crashed into a tree on Post Road Monday was treated and released from a Brunswick hospital.
Sagadahoc County Sheriff ’s Chief Deputy Brett Strout said Jessica Burke, 20, of Barnegat, N.J., was taken to Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick. She was treated and released the same day, according to a hospital spokesman.
Sagadahoc County Sheriff ’s Cpl. Aaron Skolfield said she was driving a 2008 Mercury Milan at around 11:39 a.m. Monday when she lost control of her vehicle in a snowdrift.
The car skidded out of control and hit a tree sideways on the opposite side of the road. Burke was the sole occupant. Skolfield said the car was totaled.
