BRUNSWICK — Friends of Merrymeeting Bay will present a talk titled “The East- West Corridor/Highway” by Jym St. Pierre.

The program — 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13 at Curtis Memorial Library — is the fifth presentation in Friends of Merrymeeting Bay’s 16th annual Winter Speaker Series.

St. Pierre will speak of people in northern Maine concerned about a possible land grab using eminent domain that would support construction of a private highway from Coburn Gore to Eastport.

The FOMB Winter Speaker Series takes place monthly from October to May on the second Wednesday. The series is free and open to the public.
